🎉 Message for Independence Day – 11 November 2025 🎉

Message from our CEO Sofonie Dala

Dear, colleagues, partners, and friends,

Today, as we celebrate Angola’s Independence Day, we honor 50 years since that historic moment — 11 November 1975 — when our nation rose with courage and dignity to proclaim its independence.

Angola's Independence Day commemorates the proclamation of national independence, on 11 November 1975. It honors all those who sacrificed their lives during the struggle against Portuguese rule and colonialism, and remembers all those who died in the liberation war and subsequent conflicts.

On this special day, I warmly invite you all to explore the Digital Square of Queen Nzinga Mbandi, located in Kinaxixi, Luanda — a place inaugurated exactly one year ago, on 11 November 2024. This vibrant square pays tribute to one of Angola’s greatest heroines, a symbol of strength, wisdom, and leadership. It stands as a living reminder of our rich history and a beacon for our digital and cultural future.

Let us take this moment to remember and honor all those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle against colonial rule, and all who continued to work tirelessly to build a free, peaceful, and prosperous Angola.

💫 Happy Independence Day to all Angolans and to everyone who shares in the beauty, spirit, and resilience of our Angolan landscape!

Viva Angola! Viva Independência! 🇦🇴
