From Grassroots to Global Recognition: Five Years of Impact with Talentos Multiplus & Africa Educates Her”

Empowering women, re-enrolling girls, reducing waste and reshaping communities — proof that SDGs can be achieved when vision meets action.

Dear friends, changemakers, investors and allies,

Welcome to our sustainable platforms. Five years ago we launched Talentos Multiplus and the Africa Educates Her Campaign with a simple dream: empower women and girls left behind. Today that dream is producing tangible, SDG-aligned impact — and September 2025 proved it.

On 3 September, Talentos Multiplus SU Lda was named Community Development Organisation of the Year 2025/26 at the Africa Prestige Awards. And on 24 September, Sofonie Dala was selected from over 420 nominations across 120 institutions as a finalist for UKCISA’s #WeAreInternational Awards. In September 2024, our founder Sofonie Dala received a Chevening Award certificate to pursue an MSc in Environmental Sustainability Education and Communication at the University of York.

These are not trophies. They’re proof that whenever we lift a community, the world takes notice.

✨ Making the SDGs Real — Not Abstract

1. Ladies Without Plastic – SDGs 3, 6, 12 & 13

Health, sanitation, responsible consumption and climate action converge here. In Angola, a huge share of disposable menstrual products ends up in open dumps or waterways. We’re distributing reusable pads donated by Yorkits UK, training local “ambassadors” and cutting menstrual waste at the source.

Ask yourself: What is the real cost of ignoring menstrual waste — on public health, water systems and climate? What is the return on funding sustainable alternatives?

2. Africa Educates Her – SDGs 4, 5 & 16

Quality education, gender equality and strong institutions in practice. We identify out-of-school girls excluded by child marriage, teen pregnancy, lack of ID or tuition fees. Some finished high school years ago but can’t access university; others push strollers instead of carrying books. We help them back into classrooms.

Parents and governments: How many future Nobel Prize winners are right now barred from school for want of an ID card or a few dollars in fees? What if one of them were your daughter?

3. Street Women Traders – SDGs 1, 8, 10 & 11

Ending poverty, promoting decent work, reducing inequality and sustaining communities. Women denied full education are running micro-businesses that feed neighbourhoods and families. They are the invisible supply chain of Africa’s food security. We are building digital tools, cooperatives and training to formalise and scale their work.

Citizens and investors: If these women vanished tomorrow, how many communities would go hungry? Why aren’t their businesses already in your impact portfolio?

🌱 Beyond Celebration — A Call to Action

We’re not asking for sympathy. We’re offering you the chance to invest in proven, scalable solutions that deliver real SDG returns:

  1. Every reusable pad distributed cuts waste and restores dignity.

  2. Every girl re-enrolled boosts GDP potential and reduces child marriage rates.

  3. Every street trader trained and digitised expands local economies and food security.

These are not “soft” outcomes. They are wealth-creating interventions, aligned with trade rules and sustainable-development law, that strengthen the social fabric and environmental resilience of Angola and beyond.

❤️ A Message to Parents, Citizens and Governments

Parents: get ID cards for your daughters and keep them in school.

Citizens: volunteer your skills — your expertise can change lives.

Governments: remove bureaucratic barriers, fund inclusive education and recognise informal women traders as economic actors.

For five years we have proved that a community-cooperative model can lift women below the poverty line and achieve multiple SDGs simultaneously. The awards of September are a signal: this works. The question is: who will fund the next leap?

💚 If you believe in measurable impact, inclusive trade and sustainable development, this is your invitation to become our partner. Together we can turn admiration into action, inspiration into investment and dreams into evidence-backed results.
