Happy International Human Solidarity Day. We distributed hundreds of free meals to people in socially vulnerable situations
The last community kitchen for the year 2022
We held our last community kitchen for the year 2022, an event that takes place quarterly. The next community kitchen will be held in March 2023.
The event took place in the city of Luanda, on Sunday, December 18, 2022, on the eve of the International Day of Human Solidarity, celebrated on December 20 of each year to raise awareness of the importance of solidarity.
Hunger directly affects the most vulnerable people, especially street children and poor women. The meals distributed here were collected from very generous people who like to share their love with the world.
We chose the region of the provincial wake in Luanda because it is one of the most populated places in the city, concluded Sister Sofonie Dala.
The Adventist Solidarity Action consists of multiple solidarity initiatives and social assistance services that the local church, in an organized way, carries out through its leadership and members in favor of their fellow people.
This activity also served to demonstrate our satisfaction in bringing love to others. “It was a pleasure to be there and receive feedback through a smile, even in the situation in which they find themselves”.

Interviews and feedback
In addition to free meals and drinking water, evangelistic activities and psychological support were also carried out.
The action was of great value, not only for the physical comfort provided to these people in need of help, but, above all, for the delivery of the most important thing: spiritual food for the salvation of their souls.
Every year on December 20, the world observes International Human Solidarity Day. According to the UN website, the day celebrates unity in diversity in people all over the world. It also reminds the governments to respect their commitment to international agreements, raises public awareness of the importance of solidarity, encourages debate on the ways to promote solidarity so as to achieve 'Sustainable Development Goals' including poverty eradication, as well as encourage new initiatives that help in poverty eradication.
2022 has been a year of many challenges but also of unity, resilience and hope. Through the 17 #GlobalGoals we can build forward better towards a more equitable, just and sustainable world #ForPeopleForPlanet.
